Disclaimer: Starhold Farm is a "model horse" farm, and as such, none of the horses on this page are real. They are either model horses or paper IDs which are used for pedigree assignment, racing, and showing. Starhold Farm participates in simulated racing with the Model Thoroughbred Racing Association (MTRA), the Express (racing for Arabians, Appaloosas, Paints, Quarter Horses, and Standardbreds), and also participates in judged competitions via photo shows and live shows.
Starhold has been participating in simulated racing for several years. I first became involved in racing our Arabians with MARA (Model Arabian Registry of America) around 1980. When that club disbanded in the early 1990s, I stopped doing any racing until I found the Express around 1997. I became involved then in racing my Arabians and Stock Breeds and participated in the Express off and on until about 2005. In 2005, I helped form MTRA (Model Thoroughbred Racing Association) with P.A. Gerschler. Although right now I am active only in racing with MTRA, I do hope to participate in Express racing again before much longer.
